🎪 FIRST CLASS CASTLES – HIRE TERMS & CONDITIONS

Booking Confirmation
Placing a booking online and receiving a confirmation email constitutes full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

1. BOOKINGS & PAYMENTS

  • All bookings are provisional until confirmed by email.
  • A deposit is required to secure all bookings (typically 50% unless stated otherwise).
  • Bookings without deposit payment within the specified timeframe may be cancelled.
  • The balance must be paid in advance or in cash on delivery.
  • Our delivery team cannot accept card payments on-site.

Peak Period (Communion / Confirmation Season)

  • Weekend hire (2-day hire) may be required during peak periods.
  • Extended cancellation notice applies (see Section 3).

2. HIRE PERIOD

  • Standard Hire: Delivery before 12:00pm, collection from 7:00pm same day
  • Weekend Hire: Delivery Saturday, collection Sunday evening
  • Exact delivery/collection times are not guaranteed and depend on routing

We reserve the right to:

  • Deliver earlier than scheduled where required
  • Collect at any time after the hire period ends

3. CANCELLATIONS & CHANGES

  • Minimum 7 days’ notice required for cancellations
  • 14 days’ notice required during peak periods
  • Deposits are non-refundable
  • With sufficient notice, deposits may be transferred to another date (subject to availability)

Changes:

  • All booking amendments must be made via email
  • Date changes are subject to availability and not guaranteed

4. DELIVERY, ACCESS & SET-UP

Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide clear, safe access to setup area
  • Ensure the inflatable fits the space (including clearance)
  • Minimum access width: approx. 4ft (1.2m) unless otherwise specified

Surface Requirements

  • Inflatables must be set up on grass only
  • We do not install on:
    • Concrete / tarmac
    • Patios
    • Artificial grass

Failure to meet requirements:

  • Full hire fee still applies
  • No refunds will be issued

5. SAFETY & SUPERVISION

The hirer is responsible for safe use of equipment at all times.

Key Safety Rules

  • Adult supervision required at all times
  • No adults or over-age users unless specified
  • No shoes, food, drink, or sharp objects
  • No climbing, hanging, or rough play
  • Separate small and large children
  • Do not use in high winds (above 38km/h)
  • Switch off during heavy rain or unsafe conditions

Electrical Safety

  • Use a single dedicated power supply per blower
  • Keep electrics dry at all times
  • Do not tamper with equipment

6. WEATHER POLICY

  • Inflatables must not be used in unsafe weather conditions
  • No refunds or discounts due to weather
  • Hirer must cease use in high winds or adverse conditions

7. DAMAGE, LOSS & CLEANING

The hirer is responsible for equipment from delivery to collection.

  • Equipment must be returned in clean condition
  • Cleaning charges apply from €100+
  • Damage or loss will be charged at full repair/replacement cost
  • Loss of hire income may also be charged

8. EQUIPMENT & SUBSTITUTIONS

  • We reserve the right to substitute equipment with a similar product if required
  • Stock may vary due to maintenance, availability, or upgrades

9. DELIVERY AREAS

  • Delivery is limited to our standard service areas
  • Additional charges may apply outside these areas
  • Some areas may not be serviced during peak periods

10. LIABILITY & INSURANCE

All equipment is used at the hirer’s own risk.

  • First Class Castles accepts no liability for injury or damage arising from use or misuse
  • The hirer is responsible for:
    • Supervision
    • Safe operation
    • Public safety

We strongly recommend customers arrange:

  • Public Liability Insurance (via home or event insurance)

11. EQUIPMENT FAILURE

If equipment fails:

  1. Stop use immediately
  2. Evacuate all users
  3. Switch off power
  4. Contact us immediately

Do not attempt repairs.

12. GENERAL CONDITIONS

  • Equipment remains the property of First Class Castles
  • Equipment must not be moved or altered
  • A valid Eircode is required for all bookings
  • Full payment is due once equipment is delivered
  • We reserve the right to cancel bookings due to:
    • Safety concerns
    • Weather conditions
    • Circumstances beyond our control

13. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By proceeding with a booking, the hirer confirms that:

  • They have read and understood these Terms & Conditions
  • They accept full responsibility for the safe use of equipment
  • They agree to comply with all safety instructions provided

14. SAFETY STANDARDS

All equipment supplied:

  • Complies with EN14960 European Safety Standard
  • Is inspected, tested, and maintained to industry standards
  • Is installed by trained personnel
